After working here as a doctor for some time and as a medical student for longer, I have to agree with Michael Moore on this one. People are simply not taken care of properly here. In Canada there may be a wait, but Canadians are healthier and have access to top notch health care for free. And I am going to go so far to say that it is better than most of the care even insured Americans would get (with the exception of that received at the larger university hospitals in the country - which are a minority.)Joelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16781640318420371324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3714239120138037604.post-59730059770607980152007-07-07T16:42:00.000-07:002007-07-07T16:42:00.000-07:002007-07-07T16:42:00.000-07:00He didn't talk about rationing at all (which is a ...He didn't talk about rationing at all (which is a problem in the US too, of course). He talked about a guy in Oregon and a guy in Ontario who both had fingers cut off in accidents; the guy in Oregon ended up only getting one finger sewn back on because he didn't have the money for two. The guy in Ontario of course had both put back on.Hawerchukhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05789559886083456704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3714239120138037604.post-29513063339238257532007-07-05T18:21:00.000-07:002007-07-05T18:21:00.000-07:002007-07-05T18:21:00.000-07:00Did he try to make Canada's system look good? I thought that guy was a joke ever since he tried to sell everyone that most Canadians leave their doors unlocked in Bowling for Columbine...Danhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15799115373379302598noreply@blogger.com
